Sloth Stream (Live Stream, Social Media)

Concept Development, Creative & Art Direction


This project was orchestrated to turn the tax deadline date from a stressful experience into a relaxing day by live streaming the most naturally relaxed animal on the planet: A sloth.

#SlothStream featured Paco the Sloth lounging to an ambient soundtrack for 12-hour stream (no animals harmed on set, and Paco’s supervisor made sure he got plenty of snacks and naps).

Viewers were encouraged to take a break from filing taxes and interact via twitter polls to help us decide what Paco’s next snack could be.

This casestudy gives us a snapshot of how the day rolled, and how Paco won hearts on the internet.

For H&R Blocks social media calendar events, we created an absurdly funny formula to deliver quick turnaround social posts throughout the year. Presenting Block Dioramas, a series of shorts positioning a friendly consultant to trust with your taxes, and feelings with.
